Adrift Whanganui River Trips

Guided Tours - Our guides are experienced, personable and their cooking skills are known the world over. You can relax and let them take on organisating the trip. Guided tours include; guide/s, full catering, canoe & paddling equipment, return transport for National Park Village & Whakapapa Village, cooking & camping equipment (excludes sleeping bags), and Department of Conservation Hut passes. All you need is your clothing, sleeping bag and enthusiasm.

Freedom Hire Trips - Trips include canoe and paddling equipment hire (dry barrels, paddles, and buoyancy vests), and transport from National Park Village to and from the river. Clothing and camping equipment is available for hire and hut/campsite passes can be purchased through Adrift.

The Whanganui River is remote, fresh and beautiful. Bring the kids, your friends or have a romantic time for two without skimping on all your camping home comforts. Canoe trips are for 1 to 6 days on the 'Great Walk' section of the Whanganui River (Taumarunui and Pipiriki). Adrift can assist with your canoe and transport logistics or make it easy on yourself and take a guided tour. We'll organise hearty meals, camping gear and take the guess work out of negotiating the rapids.
