Rain, Snow, Blue skies and Snowmaking - 17 June 200
Rain, Snow, Blue skies and Snowmaking

Thankfully the warm heavy rain has long gone and we all got home to snow on the gound in Ohakune and National Park last night. The rain has left a legacy though and washed out sections at Turoa, particularly over the middle section of the Ski Area. We're now back into snowmaking big-time and the natural snow yesterday and last night has gone some of the way to recover what we lost.

Turoa is all set to open upper mountain lifts this Saturday. Whether we can safely open the High Noon Express is not clear as of today but we're working very hard. Check back in each morning and we'll keep you updated.
