Snow Sports National Park Inc. is delighted to offer five levels of snow programmes in 2010, which are all designed to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in their chosen snow sport whilst also continuing to focus on their studies.
These programmes make allowances for weather, while at the same time a child’s education can continue in a great learning environment.
Joining our Ski Academy will allow athletes to take advantage of the good weather during the week and not have to rely on only weekends, and to train and compete at their respective levels.
The Snow Sports component is being run in conjunction with Ruapehu Sport, with Programme Director John Armstrong and National Park School Principal, Terry Hemmingsen.
Entry Level – The One-Day Introductory Ski Programme
National Park Ski Academy, through National Park School, offers a one-day entry level ski programme that caters for Year 1-8 students who can join the One Day Introductory Ski Program each week of Term 3.

Participants will get the benefit of 2 hours professional ski coaching each ski day, as well as at least an extra 2 hours of supervised skiing to practise their skills each week.
